Boater Safety on Lake Lewisville
We want your day on the lake to be memorable for all the right reasons, and for us, it begins with a singular concept: A full commitment to boater safety.
Before you ever get on the water, we complete a preparation process with our boaters that starts with confirming your Texas Parks and Wildlife Boater Safety Education standing. Those born before September 1, 1993 are not required to have a boater safety education, but 69 percent of all boater fatalities in 2024 were by boaters who did not have boater education, and it is a recurring theme each year. Education saves lives.
When you arrive, our team will guide you through a few preparatory steps.
- We communicate the specifications and nuances of the watercraft you’re about to rent, and any necessary supporting information (such as weather conditions or where you’ll encounter high lake traffic).
- We walk your group through the safety points of life jackets, tow ropes, and all equipment, with the opportunity to ask questions. It doesn’t matter if you’re an old salt or a first-time boater–we want everyone to have the same sense of confidence going into their trip.
- Each vessel is equipped with a map of Lake Lewisville that highlights areas of interest for fishing, skiing, cruising, restaurants, and areas to be avoided like low-water areas and waters with underwater trees. We will walk you through points of interest and answer any questions.
